What is Molybdenum?

Molybdenum is a naturally occurring element. This characteristic makes it healthy.

This element, which gives the PowerSteel Series its strength, is also used as a special material that provides high durability by preventing rust and corrosion in ocean-going ships, spacecraft, and similar industries.

Features

One of the most distinctive features of 316 stainless steel is the extra corrosion resistance provided by molybdenum.
Our Power Steel products contain 18/12 Carbon Nickel and 2 Molybdenum.
316 stainless steels are transformed into a more heat-resistant form with the addition of Mo. It provides maximum durability compared to 304 grade.

The number 18 represents the chromium content in stainless steels (for example, 18% chromium). The second number, 12, represents the nickel content (for example, 12% nickel). Higher ratios result in higher corrosion resistance.
