One of the most distinctive features of 316 grade stainless steel is the extra corrosion resistance provided by molybdenum.
Our products in the Power Steel family contain 18/12 Carbon Nickel and 2 Molybdenum.
316 stainless steels become more resistant to heat with the addition of Mo. They offer maximum durability compared to 304 grade.
The 18 represents the chromium content in the stainless steel (for example, 18% chromium). The second, 12, represents the nickel content (for example, 12% nickel). Higher ratios result in higher corrosion resistance.
