One of the most distinctive features of 316 grade stainless steel is the extra corrosion resistance provided by molybdenum.
Our products in the Power Steel family contain 18/12 Carbon Nickel and 2 Molybdenum.
316 stainless steels are transformed into a more heat-resistant form with the addition of Mo, providing maximum durability compared to 304 grade.
The 18 ratio represents the chromium content in stainless steels (for example, 18% chromium). The second ratio, 12, represents the nickel content (for example, 12% nickel). Higher ratios result in higher corrosion resistance.
